Nathalie Joseph, left, and Christelle Jean-Pierre have been scouting areas for a photograph shoot in Washington Sq. Park on a Saturday in December after they caught my eye with their layered headgear.
Ms. Joseph, a 19-year-old mannequin, wore a black scarf over her camouflage baseball cap. Ms. Jean-Pierre, a 21-year-old mannequin and aspiring director, had a striped reddish-orange hat that resembled a tiger’s coat peeking out from below a inexperienced ribbed balaclava.
“I prefer to play with colours and textures that mirror each my character and the power of the second,” Ms. Jean-Pierre stated when requested about her fashion. Ms Joseph described the headscarf over her hat because the “icing on high” of her outfit – and a method to hold heat with out earmuffs. “It completes my look,” she stated.
