Days after dropping her residence in the identical hearth that destroyed her Los Angeles elementary faculty, third-grader Gabriela Chevez-Muñoz resumed lessons this week at one other campus that quickly hosted kids from her faculty. She arrived sporting a T-shirt emblazoned with “Pali” — the nickname for her neighborhood, Pacific Palisades — as indicators and balloons that includes dolphins, her faculty’s mascot, greeted a whole lot of displaced college students.
